We are delighted to welcome you to our family-run guesthouse and cottages, nestled in the breathtaking southern region of Iceland, just a 10-minute drive from the charming town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
Our accommodations offer a blend of cozy comfort and authentic charm, with 13 cottages and 14 rooms in our guesthouse. Whether you choose to relax in one of our charming cottages, enjoy the comforts of our guesthouse, or immerse yourself in the serene surroundings at our campsite, we aim to provide you with a restful and memorable stay.

We have been a family-run business for over twenty years.
Keeper Ragnar Johansen
Ragnar was previously a seaman before deciding to change his career and move to Hörgsland in the year 2000. He and his family manage Hörgsland 1. Together, we focus on providing a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for all our visitors.

Do you enjoy fishing? Want to try? You can purchase salmon and trout fishing permits for the nearby rivers: Vatnamót, Skaftár, Fossálar Breiðbalakvíslar, and Hörgsár.
